How and why we use it.
Enquiries and new work
We use contact details and enquiry information to respond, discuss a brief, prepare a proposal and take steps towards a contract. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interests in developing and operating our business.
Delivering services
We use relevant information to plan, manage and deliver agreed work, communicate with clients and suppliers, administer payments and keep appropriate business records. Our lawful bases may include contract, legitimate interests and compliance with legal obligations.
Website operation and security
We use limited technical information to operate, maintain and protect the website, diagnose faults and prevent misuse. We rely on legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.
Analytics and improvement
Where analytics are enabled, we use aggregated or limited usage data to understand how the website performs and improve it. We request consent where consent is required by law and provide a way to object where an applicable legal exception permits limited statistical use.
Marketing
We only send electronic marketing where we have the appropriate permission or another lawful basis permitted by direct-marketing law. Every marketing message will provide a way to opt out.
Sharing and keeping data.
Who we may share information with
We may share relevant information with:
- Website hosting, email, storage, IT and security providers.
- Production suppliers and professional advisers where needed.
- Funders, clients or delivery organisations where this is necessary and appropriate.
- Regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where required.
- A buyer or successor if our business or assets are reorganised or transferred.
We do not sell personal information. Service providers may only use information for the agreed service and must protect it appropriately.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use an applicable adequacy arrangement, approved contractual protection or another lawful safeguard.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, safeguarding and dispute-resolution requirements.
- General enquiries are normally reviewed for deletion within 24 months of the last meaningful contact.
- Client, supplier and financial records may be kept for up to six years after the relevant relationship or transaction.
- Unsuccessful general programme enquiries are normally reviewed within 12 months.
- Technical and security records are retained for the period reasonably needed to protect and maintain the website.
We may retain information for longer where a legal claim, safeguarding concern or regulatory requirement makes that necessary. We may also anonymise information so it can no longer identify anyone.
Cookies and embedded media.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can store or access information through scripts, pixels, local storage and embedded services.
Strictly necessary
These support essential functions such as security, network management, page delivery and remembering privacy choices. They do not require consent where they are genuinely essential to a service you request.
Preferences
These remember choices that alter how the website behaves or appears. We will request consent unless an applicable legal exception applies.
Analytics
These help us understand visits and website performance. Where consent is required, analytics will remain disabled until you accept them. Where limited statistical technologies are used under an applicable exception, you will be given a simple way to object.
Vimeo video
Some pages contain videos provided by Vimeo. When a Vimeo player loads or you interact with it, Vimeo may receive technical information such as your IP address, device information, referring page and playback activity. Vimeo may also use cookies or similar technologies. We use Vimeo's do-not-track player setting where supported, but Vimeo remains responsible for its own processing.
You can read Vimeo's privacy information at vimeo.com/privacy.
Managing your choices
Use the website's cookie controls, where displayed, to accept, reject or change optional categories. You can also remove or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential technologies may stop parts of the website from working correctly.
The specific technologies used by the website may change. We review this section when website services are added, removed or reconfigured.
Your information. Your rights.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- Ask for access to your personal information.

Security and changes.
Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential information through a general website enquiry.
Children and young people
Talent in Motion may work with young people, but the general website is not intended to collect detailed information about children. When a young person applies for or joins a programme, we will provide appropriate information about how participant data is handled and seek consent or parental involvement where required.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, website technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date.
